The Role
As a Junior Android developer you will be part of our development team. As our Android star, you are fully responsible for your the app, from original concept till implementation and optimization. The majority of the products are both used by our customers and other employees.
We’re rebuilding the Android app from scratch and we need an Android master to make sure we do this right. In a small team, everybody’s input matters. As an Android developer you can make sure we deliver a great Android app. You love finding solutions for practical, real-world problems. You’ll not be afraid to step up to complex tasks and you will constantly be looking for ways to improve your code and the products you’re working on.
Typical tasks would be:
- Developing, testing and bug-fixing new and existing features
- Improving UX and UI
- Set up automated testing
- Providing support for the existing applications
- Creating new features based on customer feedback
Your Characteristics & Skill Set
- Completed, relevant bachelor degree
- Up-to-date knowledge of newest Android / Mobile developments
- Innovative and entrepreneurial, not afraid to fail
- Excellent communicator, able to communicate on every organization level
- Experience with working in an Agile environment
- Experience with development of Android apps (+1 years)
- Legally allowed to work in The Netherlands
- You’ve published at least one app to the Google Play Store or you’re an active Open Source contributor
