Join the mobile app development team: a business-value focused team delivering apps for both iOS and Android platforms, phone and tablet. You will be creating editors: applications that allow our customers to create their own, personalized designs for any of our products.

Your Day-to-day Activities Include

• Innovate, design and implement new features
• Continuously improve and maintain existing functionalities
• Develop application tests, including unit, integration, regression and performance tests
• Code review
• Take ownership from design to deployment
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies to define our future technology stack

You will be working in a team where the software is written in hybrid form: the frontend is written in HTML5 and JS but makes use of a native layer where you can let your Android experience shine to ensure the team delivers high performing applications. We use the micro service architecture, as such you will be implementing external API’s to enrich the applications, but you will also choose an “offline first” approach as our users should not require an active/wifi internet connection at all times.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience of working with Android specific paradigms such as the Android SDK using Java or Android NDK for C/C++
• Knowledge of the Android ecosphere with regards to releasing beta applications and deploying production ready applications
• Knowledge of mobile development paradigms: Gradle, Proguard, Cordova, React Native, etc
• Experience with performance tuning, reusability and maintainability of mobile applications and applying architecture design patterns
• Experience building complex apps that have been successfully released to the marketplace
• Strong analytical aptitude
• Strong eye for detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch not required)
• Comfortable with agile development processes
• Hands-on and nothing-is-impossible attitude
• Real team player
