What To Expect

As an iOS consultant it is your responsibility to deliver astonishing apps and provide support within short timeframes for banks and other financial institutions. You will team up with a front-end consultant, and it’s not unlikely that you will fly to all continents to do your job.

Find yourself in China this month for a state-of-the art mobile project, while last month you were in Colombia, where mobile banking is still relatively new. Next month could be a trip to Saudi-Arabia for some troubleshooting. In other words: the world will be your office! (How cool is that! We kind of wish we ourselves were iOS Developers…)

Your Day-to-day Activities Include

• Work either with customers directly or with our partners, supporting them in implementing mobile solutions
• Build apps mainly using native technology but also work on hybrid mobile apps
• Train and support development teams on-site
• Take the lead in a project wherever you can
• Create roadmaps for new product development
• Generate a feedback loop from the customers to our R&D department
• Innovate, design and implement new features
• Continuously improve and maintain existing functionalities
• Develop application tests, including unit, integration, regression and performance tests
• Code review
• Take ownership from design to deployment
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies to define our future technology stack

Qualifications

• Excellent with native iOS software development, mastering technologies and concepts like Objective-C, Swift, the iOS SDK and Xcode
• Experience with networking including security (e.g. stateful & stateless requests, certificate pinning), caching and parsing of data (e.g. JSON and/or XML)
• Experience with Scrum and/or Agile practices, automated testing and CI/CD workflows
• Experience with performance tuning, reusability and maintainability of mobile applications and applying architecture design patterns
• You developed at least three apps, of which one for sure is available via the App Store
• You think and act like an entrepreneur; experience in running your own business will be a big plus
• You like to share your knowledge and are able to clearly explain to others while giving trainings and running workshops
• You know how to deliver an outstanding presentation
• Strong analytical aptitude
• Strong eye for detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch not required)
• Comfortable with agile development processes (Scrum)
• Hands-on and nothing-is-impossible attitude
