The Role

As a Senior Android Expert you will be part of one of our product teams. Each team is consisting of several experts to make each product a succes, think of developers, designers, QA’ers, analysts, business developers and product owners. You will oversee, develop and support your less experienced team members.

As a team, you are fully responsible for your team’s product, from original concept till implementation and optimization. The majority of the products are both used by our customers and other employees.

We just launched the first version of our completely new Android app (replacing the old app). Now, we want to take the app to the next level. This means lots of new features need to be added and current features to be optimized.

Other typical tasks would be:

• Developing, testing and bug-fixing new and existing features
• Improving UX and UI
• Set up automated testing
• Providing support for the existing applications
• Creating new features based on customer feedback

Your Characteristics & Skill Set

• Completed, relevant bachelor degree
• Up-to-date knowledge of newest Android / Mobile developments
• Innovative and entrepreneurial, not afraid to try and fail
• Excellent communicator, able to communicate on every organization level
• Experience with working in an Agile environment
• Experience with development of Android apps (2+ years)
• Working knowledge of libraries (e.g. RxJava or Mortar)
• Worked with a couple of the following tools: Git, Sonar, Zeplin, Gradle, JIRA, Bamboo or Confluence
