Service Platform Needs Software Engineer (1415 views)

We’re still a small company with only one engineer, and we really need another talented brain to work on our apps. We’re aiming to become the most innovative and best service platform in the whole world. Next year we’ll be expanding internationally (to three countries), but our HQ will remain in Amsterdam. So – would you like to work in a small, but growing team on interesting new ideas and mobile app experiences? Do you take pride in creating great software? Do you enjoy trying out new techniques and keeping on top of the latest developments? And all this while keeping your code clean and workable for your teammates? The Job

There is not really a perfect blueprint that will tell you what your day looks like, but we’ve listed some of the main tasks.

• Building a distributed platform, we aim to build a system without a single point of failure;
• Migrating from legacy platform which has some interesting challenges;
• Building our iOS & Android applications.

Keeping up with all the latest developments in technology is very important, so we expect you to make sure of that. We use a lot of exciting new technologies and you will have the power to shape our stack. Right now we use Go, Node.js and PHP to write our services, AWS for most of our infrastructure, ElasticSearch for search related functionality, MySQL & MongoDB for most persistent data storage, Java & Swift to write our mobile apps, and many more exciting tools!
