Your To Do List

As a Software Developer you will improve our core product and at the same time work on the development of customized software for our clients. You will work on designing and implementing important features of our software platform, including wearables, mobile devices and thermostats. Although no day is the same, below a short overview of what your day could theoretically look like:

• Use your skills to build, deliver and iterate on solutions;
• Be a part of a young and driven team;

• Handling complex frontend and backend tasks;

Your Profile

• Bachelor Degree in IT or similar;
• Minimum 1 year of experience in frontend and backend programming (e.g. Javascript, Python, Java);
• Experience using Cloud technologies from different vendors (Google, Amazon, Heroku), SaaS solutions and Agile working is preferred;
• You have humor, like to have a lot of responsibility and enjoy working in teams;
• You have no need for directions, you can also figure it our on your own;
• You have up-to-date knowledge about new developments in the tech universe;
• You are interested in software design and architecture;
• Open source is one of your passions;
• You are a fast learner, you can take a technology stack you have never encountered before and start being productive with it in two weeks or less;
• you understand that tradeoffs exist and that a good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week;
• You are a team player – you want to work with engineers, designers and data scientists, but respect the need for stable production environment;
• Understanding of software development when working with Big Data;
• Understanding of the utilities industry is a big plus;
• Fluent in English, Dutch is preferred;
• Willingness to travel about 1 week per month.
