Your Responsibilities Include
You will build, maintain and enhance new and existing Android applications and work closely with our international development team. Participate in multiple internal interest groups in trending topics like DevOps, BigData, mobile development, and others. You will write unit tests which verify the app in a Continuous Delivery process.
Very important, since you are a senior, is that you are a key team member in development and design of new projects, and that you coach junior and medior developers (guide them through architecture and procedures, be a mentor helping with skills development).
You’ll be using a significant amount of your brainpower to continuously improve development work in all areas (coding, processes, tools, testing, etc.).
There’ll be a million different tasks to do – and we think that’s one of the aspects of that job that keeps it interesting.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor/Masters’ Degree in IT or similar – or convince us why you don’t need one
- Extensive experience with native apps (Java)
- In depth and up-to-date knowledge of native Android platform and app development lifecycle
- Knowledge about development frameworks and patterns like RxJava, MVVM or MVP
- Experience with RESTful API’s, build automation, Scrum/Agile
- You enjoy playing with (new) technology in a collaborative environment
- Fluency in English is a must
- Affinity for e-commerce
Nice-to-have’s:
- Familiarity with common tools like Jira, Git, Keen.io
- Experience and knowledge of SDKs in live environments
- Knowledge of e-commerce
- Experience with Responsive Design
