Android developers are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to strengthen their team.

Activities as Android Test Engineer

As a software test engineer for our client, you will work closely with hard- and software engineers. This to support development of important components for Android-based applications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Ensuring testability of software (products) by participating in the design flow;
– Setting up a complete test plan (including required resources, planning, etc.) based on predefined requirements, which provides flexibility in case specifications are altered;
– Implementing test scripts (e.g. Robotium) and executing tests (e.g. manual acceptance tests) as defined in test plan and reporting results to the engineering team;
– Providing support to the engineering team when debugging tested software versions.

Skills required as Android Test Engineer

Required experience:
– Bachelor/Master degree with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience;
– Experience with test engineering for the Android operating system;
– Knowledge of different programming languages: at least Java, C++ and C#;
– Experience with basic software development tools for above mentioned languages: Visual Studio and Eclipse;
– Experience with the Robotium or Monkeyrunner test frameworks for Android;
– Experience with automation and scripting languages, such as AutoIt and Python.

Preferred:
– Experience with ISEB/ISTQB/TMAP test methodologies;
– Experience with test engineering or development in other operating systems, (e.g. iOS and Windows mobile, Windows);
– Experience with Software implementations of Crypto Primitives (and affinity with hardware security).
