To complement our already great team, we are looking for a new Senior JavaScript Front-end Developer which can help our team to deliver complex mission-critical software solutions.

Your Role

In your role as Senior JavaScript Front-end Developer you will work within one of the most advanced Agile environments in the Amsterdam Area. You will work on the mobile component of a completely new project. There is a lot of room for new ideas and technologies. Because the product will be distributed over all touch points you will be working closely with the developers  of on both the web as mobile editions. Next to this you will also have the opportunity to work out innovative ideas for smart watches!

You will mainly focus on:

• Building native mobile and tablet apps for the new multi-product and multi-country Portal;
• Building mobile security (and encryption) solutions;
• Building in-house software;
• Streamlining our development process from A to Z, in collaboration with Ops colleagues and using the best tools (e.g. Jira, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, etc);
• Improving our continuous integration;
• Increasing automated test coverage;
• Getting us to the next level of maturity with respect to continuous delivery.

Your Profile

Our ideal candidate can check off the majority of the following boxes:

• Master degree in Computer Science (or equivalent);
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal;
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience with professional software engineering
• You have a minimum of 2 years professional experience with OO JavaScript and SPA frameworks
• You have experience with SPA frameworks like React, Angular, Backbone, Knockout, MooTools, Meteor, Express or Ember
• You know React by the book
• You have a big plus if you bring experience with React Native, Ionic or Titanium
• You also have a big plus if you experience with Native iOS or Android
• You have experience in an Agile/Scrum/Dev/Ops team
• Able to develop clean, high-quality efficient and maintainable code
