For a young creative company developing original software (usually involving social networks), we’re looking for mobile web developers. They currently have several applications in development, and a result of early success they’re looking to expand. Along with a laid-back atmosphere you’ll find they’re often involved in green projects.

Job Description (Mobile Web Developer)

In this role you’ll be tasked with developing/extending both the front- and backend of our application platform. Daily activities include:

• Designing and developing code for our mobile application platform, mainly in HTML5 & JavaScript and partially in Java;
• Connecting mobile platforms to existing location based services platforms and external services (e.g. social networks, payment providers);
• Overcoming blocking issues and other impediments to achieve fast time-to-market objectives;
• Problem solving & bug fixing in the online service platform;

Qualifications

• Considerable hands-on experience in HTML5 & CSS3
• Excellent comprehension of JavaScript and supporting libraries
• Experience implementing designs across multiple (mobile) platforms and browsers
• Superior creativity and innovation-driven
• Demonstrable ability to test / quality assurance
• Initiative and the skill to work independently and in a small team
• Understanding of Java server technologies

Preferred skills include:

• UI design skills – knowing what works aesthetically
• Experience with building dynamic interfaces with jQuery (Mobile) or similar
• Understanding of social network API’s like Facebook & Twitter
• Experience with using Linux & LAMP cloud systems.
• Affinity with a startup culture, its dynamics and lean approach
