About the job
Your main task will be to build and lead the development of many different native Android mobile app prototypes. From these prototypes we will refine a unique B2C application. You will help identify the required backend infrastructure to store and share the data. Also, you will gather the requirements for developing, configuring, customizing and re-branding apps. After that, you’ll review these requirements with our Sales Team, Product Management and Engineers. You’ll connect your app with the backend RESTful API’s and execute unit tests for these newly developed apps. When all goes well, you will publish the apps in the Google Playstore.
Job requirements
- 2+ years experience with object-oriented programming (in Java)
- Knowledge of at least one other language apart from Java (e.g. Objective-C, PHP, Python, etcetera)
- Experience with RESTful API’s
- Eperience with re-using existing code and refactoring existing structures withour re-writing
- Know-how of Jira, Ant, Android Studio, Git, JUnit, IntelliJ, Maven, and other development tools
- Experience with *nix systems
- Knowledge of design patterns
- Experience with distributed systems and applications in high latency
- Perfect English language skills
