Your Role as a Development Engineer iOS

You will mainly focus on:

• Building native mobile and tablet apps for iOS for the new multi-product and multi-country Portal;
• Building mobile security (and encryption) solutions for iOS;
• Building in-house software;
• Streamlining our development process from A to Z, in collaboration with Ops colleagues and using the best tools (e.g. Jira, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, etc);
• Improving our continuous integration;
• Increasing automated test coverage;
• Getting us to the next level of maturity with respect to continuous delivery.

The Profile

Our ideal candidate can check off the majority of the following boxes:

• Master degree in Computer Science (or equivalent);
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal;
• Minimum of 5 years software engineering experience in creating high scalability mission-critical iOS apps;
• Minimum of 3 years experience with Swift;
• Extensive knowledge of OS fundamentals with the ability to apply it in the context of modern operating systems (e.g. OS X, Linux, Windows Server 2008/2012);
• Can implement CI (continuous integration) set up using Xcode Server, Jenkins, Git;
• Experience with at least one modern scripting language;
• Real world OO design experience, knowledge of design patterns, familiarity with the suitable tools (e.g. UML, BPMN);
• Proficient skills with JSON, REST, SSL;
• Knowledge of design patterns like MVC, MVVM, MVP, composition, protocol-oriented programming;
• Enjoys working in a multicultural environment, loves to learn about different cultures;
• Passionate about technology, always up to date regarding new technologies in the tech (iOS) world;
• Able to develop clean, high-quality efficient and maintainable code.
